Sustainability, Climate Responsibility & Emissions Report
Verpora is committed to operating in a responsible and sustainable way. We run a paperless office as standard, make extensive use of digital systems and remote working to reduce unnecessary travel, and encourage low-carbon commuting by providing secure bicycle parking for employees.
We are also mindful of the environmental impact of business travel and actively seek to minimise air miles and long-distance journeys wherever possible, using virtual collaboration and careful planning to reduce our footprint without compromising the quality of our work.
SBTi: Business Ambition for 1.5°C
The SBTi has approved Verpora Limited’s near-term science-based emissions reduction target:
Verpora Ltd commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions 58.8% by 2034 from a 2024 base year, and to measure and reduce its scope 3 emissions.
Tackling climate change requires ambitious action from the corporate sector. Our science-based target proves our commitment to building a sustainable economy, by doing not what is easy but what is necessary.
Emissions Report
As part of our commitment, we will publish an annual emissions report. The 2024 report is shown below.
About the Science Based Targets initiative
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis.
The SBTi develop standards, tools and guidance which allow companies to set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions targets in line with what is needed to keep global heating below catastrophic levels and reach net-zero by 2050 at latest.
