  • Van Der Valk Hotel 4b Culliganlaan Machelen, Vlaams Gewest, 1831 Belgium (map)

Verpora has partnered with EPP Pricing Platform for the delivery of a two-day VBA Masterclass. Attendees of the training program will gain an understanding of the foundations of innovative contracting and value-based agreements within pharmaceutical, biotech and medical devices arena that have been seen across the globe.

The immersive and interactive 2-day program covers the foundations of innovative contracting (IC) and value-based agreements (VBA) within the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical devices arena.

Learning will be facilitated through the use of real-world examples, proven IC tools and insights on the latest trends across the globe.

Day 1 covers the nomenclature of VBA, case studies demonstrating successful implementation of VBA, payer archetypes and global trends. Real-world examples will be reverse-engineered in interactive groups to establish the market settings, what manufacturers contracted on, why they contracted, and how the VBA solutions bridged the value gaps to overcome the access barriers. The day will conclude with an interactive workshop where groups select a VBA solution for a hypothetical product and define key attributes for the contract.

Day 2 will switch focus to the organisational VBA adoption journey, barriers to adoption and share a proven end-to-end procedural pathway for developing VBA solutions. Learn how manufacturers pivot cross-functional teams to ingrain VBA processes as part of their DNA, determinants of VBA success/failure and future payer perspectives/tips. Any VBA solution needs to be successfully negotiated, so the day will conclude with an interactive exercise that provides attendees the opportunity to practice negotiation skills and develop tactics.

Cover the four key stages – understanding the access hurdles, stakeholder engagement, ideating & testing solutions, and negotiating effectively.

7. Why Do We Need A VBA/IC Solution?

Explore the determinants of VBA success and failure, value drivers (manufacturer & payers), growing channels for VBA, commercial & brand integration for value & access and global vs local VBA strategy.
